18th Annual Race for the Cure
Once
again Kickboxing for the cure and Muay Thai Dragon Martial Arts are
teaming up for the Susan G. Komen 18th Annual Race for the Cure at Six
Flags Great Adventure.
Last year we raised over $1400 for our first year doing this event. And won first place for the largest fitness center to participate. This year we want to up the anty. We want to raise $2000.
The event will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, NJ. Students from Muay Thai Dragon Martial Arts Kickboxing will be running in the 5k and walking in the 4k. We need your help. You can help by joining the team and getting sponsorships or if you are unable to particiapte, you can donate to either a team member or the team by using the link below. Please help. Every little bit goes a long way.

Team Kickboxing for the Cure
All proceeds from this event and all events held by Kickboxing for the Cure are donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey. The Komen Central and South Jersey affiliate is committed to increasing screening mammography in order to save lives through early breast cancer detection. Twenty-five percent of the affiliate proceeds support innovative national breast cancer research programs while the remaining 75% supports local programs. Serving 13 counties in New Jersey - Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Salem, and Somerset - the affiliate will reach 100,000 women in 2000 with breast cancer education and screening programs.

First Fundraiser was a huge success. Thanks to friends, family and
students of Muay Thai Dragon
Martial Arts, we have raised $1764.00 year to date for Susan G.
Komen for the Cure through T-shirt Sales and our First Annual
Kick-A-Thon that took place on Saturday, June 26, 2010.
Team "Kickboxing for the Cure" participated in the 17th Annual Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey Race for the Cure on Sunday, October 2, 2010. We had 5 runners in the 5K Race and 7 Walkers in the 4K Walk. We were awarded First Place for the Largest Fitness Center to participate. This was a great honor for us. While this has only been our first year as an organization and our first time participating, we were honored to receive an award. With the support and help of family and friends, we raised another $1410 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Race day was an exciting time for all our participants and they all did a great job! We can't wait to do it all again on October 2, 2011!
